These days there are many great events that support Israel going on in the USA. Wouldn't it be great it they weren't somewhat random and disconnected? What if people in cities all over America and around the world stood together in prayer for Israel on the same day? What if we sent a message to the world about remembering what happened when one crazy man got his hand on power and used it to fulfill hateful fantasies?
We have a rich resource of history and truth in each survivor of the Holocaust. They are the most qualified people to remind us of what happens when people are silent in the face of evil. Many of them have already passed on but there are thousands of survivors who are in their 70s & 80s who have a story worth hearing still.
This event, the March of Remembrance, is about giving them a platform to remind the world of their stories. It's about remembering and memorializing those who were senselessly and brutally murdered in the hope that maybe we can say with certainty that "Never Again" will it be repeated.
It's also about Christians praying together for the peace of Jerusalem and the jewish people as we walk together in a stand against the darkness.
Does that sound like something worthwhile to you?
If so, then I encourage you to get involved. Either commit to walk with us, to pray with us, or even to be a local organizer in your community. It's an experience where your love for the people of Israel can be magnified in a way that the whole world will see.
Our plan is simply to let the Holy Spirit direct this through the people who care enough to break the silence of indifference.
